A PROUD NATION
The Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service is reshaping what community-centered policing looks like.
Spread across more than 100 square miles, their officers focus on presence, connection and transparency —
showing the community they serve that safety grows through partnership. In this case study, nation members
and officers share how tools like body-worn cameras, TASER energy weapons, drones and Notes support
clearer communication, stronger training and a deeper sense of trust throughout the Nation.
These tools help the agency review critical moments, strengthen transparency and stay closely connected with
community needs. Generations of Tsuut’ina community members once grew up afraid of the police. Today, those
relationships are changing — built on human connection, shared experiences and a genuine commitment to
serve. This is the story of a policing model rooted in trust, transparency and a shared mission to Protect Life.
